They also offer timber flooring, tiles, toilets, sinks and even water tanks, making it a one-stop shop for all home furnishing needs. Their products are made of high quality raw materials, using the most advanced technology.
Challenge
The Furniture People approached us with complaints about their website structure. It had unfriendly and non-intuitive navigation, which failed to cater the target audience. They wanted to redesign the homepage and create a user friendly and responsive website.
The website had a lot of duplicate content too on the internal pages, which prevented the website from being ranked high on search results. In addition, the URLs were dynamic. Earlier, the site did not hold any rank for important keywords and didn't comply with the SEO norms either. The company wanted to us to optimize their website for the popular search engines, such that it would rise in search rankings and drive sales and traffic.
Solution
After thorough research and testing by our expert team, the website was found to be unresponsive and casually designed. Our team of web designers worked on completely redesigning the website, creating navigation that was user-friendly. Responsive websites enable users to visit the website from any device, with a satisfying user experience.
Shazia, from The Furniture People, contacted us to improve their search engine rankings to increase traffic. The redirect was removed, and keyword-rich content was added to improve relevance and value of the website. We updated keywords on all the pages to increase relevance and value. The site's architecture and link structure were also redesigned, prevented any pages from being hidden from search bots.
Canonical tags and Pagination series were implemented to solve the issue of duplicate content on internal pages. This had a positive impact on search rankings.
Results
We were in frequent touch with the client during the entire redesigning and restructuring process, so that we could give them exactly what they wanted. The dynamic URLs were converted into static ones. In addition, we added an original, keyword-rich content, leading to increased click rates and making content easy to share.
We also recommended that The Furniture People add fresh, high-quality content regularly for higher indexing. This is still being followed. The architecture of the site was redesigned and built with best the SEO practices, including meta tags, on-page code optimization of Web 2.0 tactics, and other body optimization. This all has highly improved the customer traffic on the website.
